The Lloydminster Youth Council

In 2019 I joined the Lloydminster Youth Council as I wanted to become a more involved member in my community. Through this organization I have worked with many local businesses, organizations, and community members such as the Lloydminster City Council, the Olive Tree, the New Lloydminster Nissan, the Salvation Army, the Interval Home, Lloydminster Co-op, Hoop Factory, LCSD, LPSD, and many more! During my first year on the council I was elected as Chair of the 2020/2021 season, a position that has taught me leadership, confidence, public speaking, further communication skills, and how to organize and lead meetings.

Being a part of this council is something that I will cherish forever, as our mission was have youth's voices in our community heard by decision makers. As a team, we also organized many events, programs, PSAs, and fundraisers for the youth in Lloydminster.
